For anyone who wants a bit of a laugh, we have a new member who said "if any of your teams are short then I'll be more than happy to play" great and you can't knock him for volunteering.

Only thing was, one of our Captain's was left short. After phoning him he was advised yes I can play, the only thing is the last time I played bowls I was 18. .................................................now I'm 72!!

Certainly one for the future after a bit of practise. 12.04.08

Our first Open Competition of the season on Bank Holiday Monday (5th May) is the Kingsley Stafford which has been full since early January. The Club would like to thank all 32 entries for their support

For all of you who like a cup of coffee, our ever popular "Coffee Morning" will be at Bradbury House, Glossop on Saturday morning, 28th June. Please try and support this fund raising activity.

The glossop green was opened on sunday 30th March for the 2008 season on a beautiful sunny afternoon by club president eileen wood.
This was followed by the john platt pairs competition won by ron taylor & marie blackwell 21-18 against alan sidebottom & eileen wood with a good turn out.
